I have a v4 ps2 and I'm gonna install the neo 2.2, I want to know: If I use the neo 2.2 only for playing psx backups and my original games, DOES MY LASER STILL GET BROKE???
(SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH, I'M NOT FROM USA)

The swap isn't the problem. The problem is that the Neo sends too much voltage to the laser resulting in a very short laser lifespan.

In my experience, you won't damage the laser AS MUCH if you only play PSX backups.

AS MUCH.
