Action Replay V2 (ps2)
I bought a Action Replay CD V2 for $5 from a mate. It asks for a cartridge!
Is there away around this or am I screwed? My mate broke the bloody cartridge thanks to his foot!

Yeah, unfortunately u need the AR2 cartridge.
U can use gameshark lite which is exactly the same as AR2 but uses a standard memory card instead of a cartridge

Ok, Ill have to hav a look around for one.
Is there a PAL Version of Gameshark lite? I thought that Action Replay was PAL and Gameshark was American NTSC?

No, but AR bought GS. GS is no more... their products have all been merged into the AR line.

FWIW: A dongleless GS2/AR2 v1.99-2.01 CD can perform a number of functions, including PS2 CDR boots.
SFAIK: the GS Lite is a dongleless PSX boot disk, that can be used for those games (including CDRs) with or without a PSX memory card on a PSX/1/2. IIRC: Datel licensed their Action Replay line to Interact in North America. Interact marketed it using their GameShark brand, until this year. MadCatz have since purchased the Gameshark brand (including gameshark.com) from Interact. They've licensed and are marketing Pelican's Codebreaker product via the Gameshark brand; GS2 v3 is primarily CB v6, whereas prior GS2's were AR2's! (BTW: GS2 v3 / CB v6 are dongleless and use a PS2 memory card for their code saves.) IHTH: eh.
