Customizing Quake III Arena

I was wondering if it is possible to change character and weapon models, ADQ sounds, levels and level designs. Would it be playable.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've been planning on it for quite some time... as well as Unreal Tournament. I think it may work. All I can say is, give it a shot. If I get around to trying it out before you do, I'll post about it. If you try it out first, let us know what happens.

I DO know that I made a 4x4 Evo CD with custom trucks. A similar task, and it works fine, (trucks must be podded). Some trucks cause the game to crash, but some work great. Podded tracks don't work, because the DC needs the tracks to be separated into 3 different files somehow. I think the one big Pod file causes memory problems. I haven't looked into the tracks much.
It blows ppls minds when you go online with your custom trucks and they see you're on a DC.

Anyway, let us know what you find.

Later,
-Ex
