Is there any possible way to play psx games w/o a modchip on a psx?

yes by using a swap trick or boot disk

its kinda hard to pull off at first but here gos

insert a real psx disk and find something to hold the lid senser down (the old psx it was in the back and the psone ot is near the eject switch)

turn on the psx and the disc will spin slowly, after it starts to spins it faster switch the real disk with the back up

(if you have an older modles i think 5500x and down it will load for the newer ones 2 more swaps are needed)

the back up will slow down, then go faster, then slower,

take out the back up and put a real game back in,

wait for the screen to go black and then put the back up back in.

it should load. this is how i play my back ups on my psOne

try 3 times with 1 game and if you cant get it to work then try another game.

the gs swap is easyer load up gs 3.5 do start game (you can use cheats if you want) after it tells you to put in the gameopen the lid

find something to hold down the lid senser the disk will spin slow then when the screen says "Loading Please Wait..." swap the disk and it will load.

the only game i could not get to load using the gs swap was IMBNES
