Xbox FUBAR'ED - Big Time Help Needed

I posted earlier regarding an ms dash problem, but now my xbox is really screwed.

the only 2 things that i changed since the last time it was running fine was i installed a switch and last night while playing ghost recon and messing with multiplayer setting I enabled Xbox Live, meaning that it went through the whole upload process.

OK, problem being is before i couldn't get into msdash, now i can't get out. i booted up my xbox 1h ago and it booted to msdash and it won't go back to evox. doesn't matter if the mod is turned on or off. (but it does say x-ecuter when it's on and microsoft when it's off???)

right now i was running evox 1.8.3752 and right now i managed to use my old evox 1.8.3285 boot disk to get into evox, BUT i can't FTP my xbox.

I'm totally screwed and am now begging for help. someone take pitty and help me

wait...
do u have the x2 lite/pro?
if u do
or even if u have any other chips
check the d0 point
cuz that disables the microsoft bios
so its probably that the chip isnt on

i have an X2 lite
i'll try to check the D0 point but the other day when i put in the switch I couldn't lift my motherboard out, seemed to be hanging up on something between the A/V & power ports and luckey for me my D0 is underneath the xbox.

But i'll give it a quick go.

also just checked my updated evox.ini that was backed-up on my pc and the ms dash target was xboxdash.xbe not msxboxdash.xbe. so that's a quick fix if i can ever ftp my xbox

actually before i do open up my xbox again, if the mod wasn't working then i wouldn't be able to boot up my old evox version from a dvd-r right. so the mod must be working. also i'm still getting that x-ecuter text coming up on the intro.

now i'm totally stumped.

i just ejected the evox dvd-r and put in a backed-up game and it loaded fine. both the data burnt one and the multiable game disk.

then i reset the xbox and of course it booted to the msdash, it didn't even say x-ecuter2 this time and it still booted the game.

don't know what's going on but i can play games but i can't FTP or access my evox dash or at least i can't access evox unless i pop in the old boot dvd-r.

just created a new dvd-r with the updated evox iso on it.
and i did manage to FTP my xbox, but now i have all these weird folders in there like
c:/back-up
c:/Fonts
c:/xboxdashdata.10027100
c:/xodash

and compairing my c: now to the one i backed-up when i first put the mod in, over 90% of the files are missing. i only have 7 in total.

so i was wondering if i should just replace the original c: & e: and start fresh.
also how would i do that. just a simple copy & paste.

When you clicked on xbox live, it updated your xbox's original dashboard, which is why you see more files. I suggest keeping that cd with the older files on it, just incase something happens. I keep a backup of mine.

oo u used xbox live?
then lets hope u named the evox - evoxdash.xbe
cuz the x2 lite has the bios that will read the first
then nexgen
then original bios
cuz if u put the evox dash.xbe as the original bios
the xbl is bound to mess u up

no i didn't actually use xbox live, i can't i don't have an account and the area i live in doesn't have hi-speed. what happend was if you click on the xbox live icon in the ghost recon for the first time it opens up xbox live and begins searching for an account.

with a little messing around i was finally able to FTP my xbox and from there i just put the xbox back to the original settings and re-installed evox.

but now i'm back to square one, like my earlier post i'm getting a weird message telling me to contact tech support & there is a big 13 i the top left corner of the screen, only when i switch off my mod. when it's on it boots up fine.
is there something different you have to do when installing a switch for the x2 lite. i just connected the wires from the mod to the switch, no ground, no altering evox.ini or anything.
