Magic 3 DVD

My ps2 magic 3 will play original cd based ps2 games and backup cd based games. Also ps1 games. When I put in an original Dvd game or dvd movie it will not load. It just goes to the browser screen. I have tried every boot method I can find.

Ive noriced that w/ my magic 3 you have to repeat the boot procedure sometimes up to five times before it will actually load. Thats why my brother is getting my ps2 as soon as i get the messiah 2 installed in my other one. Im getting sick of the hassle

have tried spyro dragonfly and scooby doo dvd games and one dvd move over and over. No Luck all cd based ps2 games work. Thanks

Laser... calibration.

When your Magic chip will boot your CD games but not your DVD games, it is often the laser.
