PS2 v7 gap bios?

Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me out. I just got this brand new ps2 (GH-022, BIOS 070) and when I opened it and looked at it I saw the bios chip had a gap on it, the 3 middle legs of the chip from each side were missing, anyway since I never seen this before on other v7s I just want to make sure it’s no big deal and it could be modded with a magic 3.1 with no problems. I guess I would feel better if someone can tell me they have modded one of these, since this is the first I see. Thanks.

on version 7 i think the gap don't matter, just install as normal.

Don't take this as gospel, I just think I remember someone else bringing this up b4.

Regards
