is it good or bad to upgrade my firmware?can anybody tell me also tha advantages and disadvantages of this upgrade?

I personally had always advantages on upgrading firmwares...for example, the latest version firmware for the Plex 24x10x40 has fixed a little prob that burner had in reading some protections (not the sd2, however). Generally speaking, upgrading firmwares is always an advantage (I always speak for my personal experiences), so I'd suggest to do that....If you should encounter some problem, just check if you have the option to downgrade, if possible (i.e. th ePlex 12x10x32 cannot be downgraded under the v. 1.05).

Just download the firmware from your cd-r home page and execute it reading first everything about doing it( firmware manufacturers explains how to do in your firmware documentation)
