Megalexxx, another one for you: WSB 2K1
I've reimaged World Series Baseball 2k1 to remove black borders.
When I scanned it with pal-patcher, it found two [pal protection 1] codes and one [50 hz] code, but the resulting copy has a weird problem: when I choose quick start, everything is ok, but as soon as I reach the american hymn, the audio speed is ok, but the animation speed drops at 1 frame every 2 or 3 seconds (it's almost freezed), making it unplayable. I've double checked my unpatched copy and it is perfectly playable. Used Verbatim, with the same settings I've used 100's times. As usual the problem occurs on both PAL & JAP DC, with and without RGB cable. WeeZee |

Have you tried the patch here ?
http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_patches_w.shtml I think Majestic only patched 50/60 Hz code (their patch's description is "Pal/Ntsc - No Border Fix"). Otherwise, you might try to patch only the "50 -> 60 Hz code". Be sure the 2 "PAL Protection" are in 1st_read.bin. If they are in another file, it might corrupt it... |

Ha! It's been ages since I last used patches on DC games
![]() After you and AdrenalineUk released your tools it was almost pointless to use patches. BTW, I selfbooted my copy manually, so I can't apply that patch, which is meant for a non-boot ISO image. I'll try your tool with 50/60 Hz only. Also, pal-patcher was set to scan 1st_read only, so all the codes were there. Thanks! WeeZee |
