Help booting imports with no solder mod?
Upon hearing the bad news, that Suikoden III was not going to be released in the UK, I decided the best option was a mod chip. After looking at the various choices, I settled on the no solder mod(Cheap and easy is all I can afford).
With this, I got the Swap magic boot CDs required. However, when I try to boot using either of these, a blue border appears in the top right hand corner, and then nothing. I then tried to boot with my friends Action Reply 2 - Which got a little bit further, taking me to a black screen before stopping. The Disk is an original import, normal games work fine, and its a v4 ps2. First installation attempt led to the power not coming on, however this has been fixed. Any ideas what I can do? |

I think with the no solders you will need to make a backup of your disc before it will be able to boot.
Tyler!
