RecordNow Max

although i can still back up dvds using recordnow max it is kind of funny how i have to do it......using a sony DRU-500a

First i downloaded and installed the latest version of recordnow, then i tried it and it said no compatible recorder or rewriter can be found on your system, would u like to update so i press YES and it says you have all the current updates...so i close and do again but this time pressing NO so it takes me to the wizard startup and i try to burn but wont let me pass the inserting dvd stage ..says i have to insert media...but i already did so i exited it and searched the internet for some kind of update finally finding a program called pxEngine358 for recordmax now... i guess recognizes different burners or something.......okey

Then i dl and install pxEngine358 and try record now max again .....and again it tells me no compatible recorder blah blah blah ......after that takin me to the wizard startup again. This time it lets me past inserting dvd stage and on to the file selection part then on to a successful burn. But if i try using the regular way as opposed to the wizard it doesnt recognize my burner so im limited to using wizard

Can anyone tell me why this is?

sorry for the long post

I fixed this problem by upgrading from RecordNow Max 4.1 to 4.5

LOL!!!! i truly didnt know that there was a version 4.5 coz when i would start up 4.1 it would say "there is no recorder/rewriter drive would u like to check for updates ....and i would type yes and it would say ....your version is up to date so i thought i had the newest version
