Games take a long time to load why?

I have the flip top v7 swap disc v2
i dontknow what kind of dvd-r i have they were order in bulk
purple bottom
well anyways on some games like Devil may cry 2 the disk take about 4 mins to load up why is that

id say it is a combination of the fliplid and the media

i know when i had some external modchip for the psx1 it took a tad longer to load games

I would say more than likely its the media, or at least thats your main problem. Ritek and Princo are good and cheap. Verbatim are probably the best but you pay well for it.

Yeah, definitely a media problem. The problem is that yr PS2 has to keep rescanning the surface to try and get a decent read so the game does get there eventually but takes forever compared to the original.

I found verbatim to be just as bad as any light bottomed cheap media.

The best is Ritek dark purple dye dvd-r like Traxdata or DVDMaster.

And on a different note, ditch the fliptop and swapmagic and get a messiah 2 installed!!
