c&c generals online patch

how can i get it to work?
i've followed the instructions
n when i started the game to patch it.......it says that it's unable to patch my generals up

Reinstall the game, DO NOT apply any crack. The patch probably needs the original exe, which incidentally you can find on your original cd.

Again for all:

Before you replace an EXE or so......SAVE THE ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Than you only have to replace it, when you for example want to patch it!!!!

I was having problems too. ALL you need to do is DL the GCW no-cd for ver 1.3, and replace the .exe. that's it. you can now play online w/o a cd. I don't know if you can play single play (in fact I thinkyou can't) but when you replace the game file with the cracked one it changes the ver or something and won't allow you to connect to any online game. I was in the MP test and all I play is online anyways so I don't really care about the single player missions... too easy anyways.

yep, you can't play single player missions with just the .exe. but who cares right! lol

NO!!! GO BUY THE GAME YOU LEECH!!! (it just makes it so you don't have to put the disk in to play.) You must be new so you know this isn't a warez site! This is a place where we help each other to make and play LEGAL backups of games we ALREADY own so we can save our originals! This is the greatest RTS game of all time, go buy it. You WON'T be disappointed!
