I got a couple of these too. You have to format them first.

do you need to use a blank memory card in them to begin with? Instructions are crappy. Says to put it in, put card in the expander and turn it on and it will go to format.

first navigate your ps2 to your browser screen then just put a rgular 8mb card on back of the expansion card , on the bottom of the expansion card there is little hole towards the back you have to Press and hold the button, then Insert into the memory card slot of PS2, release the button after 5 seconds. Browser screen would shown as a picture of memory card about 3 seconds later, then just format using the browser.

I think my expander is different than yours. There is no button on bottom. Just one button on top. Do you need to use an unformatted memory card to start it?

Your card doesn't look like this. All I need to started is a regular 8mb memory card after it's detected then I can remove it.

I'ts basically the same thing just a different design. I don’t know how to format these though. I'll search and see if I find anything. What are the buttons on top for?

I beleive the button on top toggles between the expander and the original memory card

I got it to work. I had to goto wal mart and get a new memory card and use that in the expander.

It should work with any regular 8m memory card, but if it's working ok now, hey that's cool.

definitly never doing business with that company again.. Show me one thing and send me another. Charged me full price of the good one. Then send me one that states "value 32meg expander" right on it. But so long as its getting the job done so be it. It doesn't work without a card in it. I can't use it with any other cards in it. But it does give me more memory.
