"could not create restore surface" error in Links 2003

Has anyone ever seen this error before? I get it while the game is loading. I have a 32 MB video card, with the newest driver just installed. Please help...

Bah, who goes to a support site when it's much easier to bother us, right ?

I don't have either of those video cards and the manufacturer of my video card does not have anything regarding this on their support site. I have already installed the latest driver, yet I still get this error. Any suggestions?

Contact the publisher and ask THEM. Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT a game support forum, it's a game CRACK support forum. If you got a problem with a crack, we'll solve it (or die trying ) but there's so much more that can go wrong especially with video card drivers and the lot, that we can't help you with it. Cirkutz went very far out of his way by providing you two POSSIBLE answers based on your first post. Even if that doesn't help you, the impetus is on YOU to check the developers support forums. Trust me, with all the games I had problems with, the only way to get results was to go to the game developers forums, since a lot of developers read those and help out where they can. It's flattering in a way that you seem to think we're all-knowing sentients but we're not. Cracks are our business and that's all. And the occasional backup
