Angry Battlefield 1942! wont work with/without cd

Bought Battlefield 1942, cannot be bothered swopping cds.....

so downloaded crack, (1.2) could not get it to work...so I uninstalled then reinstalled with original discs.

Now all I get is that sound you get when no disc is in the drive!
(the original is in the drive)

Does this mean I have something in the registry left behind when I uninstalled? I am a geniune owner of the full game and I cannot get it to run at all...

Help! please! someone......

Does it display ANY error message ? When it tries to start, do you see any safedisc splash screen ? I've got no clue at all what you mean with that sound, it's probably one of the standard windows sounds...

Sure your Cd-reader is working properly? Just to be sure....if your original discs don't work call tech support /or return the game to the shop where you bought it

G'day thesaintrugby

What you have to realise is that your question gets asked about every 10 new threads on this forum....

There is a little button up the top called "Search" but Ive made it easy for you If You Click Here & you can see that these are all the questions asked about BF1942.

I'm certain that if you take the time to read these your answer will be found.... If not then post back here....

However, It sounds like you installed that game & then downloaded & installed Version 1.2 crack. Well that wont work because installing of the original disc only takes BF1942 to Version 1.

You have to Download the Version 1.2 Patch install it & then Install the version 1.2 crack.. Take care how you install the Crack... heaps of threads... that your now reading of course cover this.......

Goodluck.............

Make sure you start again.....uninstall & delete the Program Files>EA Games>BF1942 folder after youve uninstalled then reboot.... do a search on your computer for bf1942.exe as you may have placed the crack in the wrong spot & delete it if it finds one.... Then do a fresh install > update with the 1.2 Patch > install the 1.2 Crack....
