post 3.1 boot instructions please

Please post your successful boot instructions for the magic 3.1.every web site I got to have its own variation and trying them all comes up with very different results. Some say place ps2 game in tray and tap reset to close the tray and boot the game. Some want you to close the tray with the eject button and then tap reset to boot the game. This method works better on my v7 but still no way near 100% for ps1 some say place the game in the tray before you enter ps1 mode while others want you to be in ps1 mode first then put game in tray and tap reset or again close the tray first then tap reset. Some want you to enter standby between modes using the reset button and others say enter standby using the main power switch on the back. HELP!!!! I am so confused lol

BG is on a distinguished road
The directions that are posted in the boot procedures post came DIRECTLY from the Official Magic website.....

Thus, that is the way you should boot the games.....

old instructions

they say nothing about turning the chip off so that leads me to believe it is for the 3.0 not the 3.1 :-)

Thats because I HAVEN'T UPDATED that part yet....

The ONLY difference in boot procedure is turning off the chip (aka sleep mode for anti-mod games).......

EVERYTHING else is IDENTICAL.......
