help with CvS 2 and SF3 3rd Strike

hi,
i have both of these as japanese versions in cdi format and want to play them on my pal-dreamcast. actually, they are both working fine besides that they only seem to run in 50 hz. i have allready tried the palpatcher but it seems to completely **** up my image of capcom vs. snk 2 and it can't open my street fighter 3 image.
so, has anyone an idea how i could possibly enjoy these games in their full glory on my dreamcast? any kind of help is apreciated.

cu,

cybermonkey

Which version of PAL Patcher did you use ?
V 1.0 messes with images.
V 1.1 has been corrected.

i used V 1.1, but it seems as if it doesnt matter anymore because i think the games actually run in 60 hz (i'm not really sure with sf3) and i was just complete retard for not noticing this. i watched some match movies of cvs2 and the game speed appears to be same like my copy's.

i just tried pal patcher v.1.0 with my image of sf3. and this version can actually open it normally. so i searched the image for protections and pal patcher found the 50 hz protection thing which i then patched. then i burned the image and it works fine so far, only that it is identical to my unpatched and burned image.
so, basically this just confuses me.

PAL Patcher v 1.0 IS COMPLETLY BUGGED !
Forget about this one.
You can reburn your CD : my program detected a code, but didn't patch it right (it has written another code somewhere else !!!).
Another thing : the common "50/60 Hz" code effectively works on some games, but not EVERY games. In fact, it's just a country check, and patching it might f**cked up your game (it disable 50/60 Hz selector in some games !!!).

U said ur not sure if SF3 game is 60hz?

If it aint 60hz it aint full screen and has big borders on top and below the screen which are also visible on ie. a small 17 inch TV. So if ur SF3 is full screen, its 60hz. Don't mention gamespeed as in most fighters it can be altered, just look at full screen or not full screen and then judge. For instance SF3 is a slower paced game and CvsSNK2 has a speed select mode... so its quite hard to think ur CvsSNK2 is 50hz when u see a vid which occasionally plays the game faster.
