Mod Cartridge with Anti-mod games and multi-disk games
I got one of those Mod Cartridges from GameGizmos.
It works ok, but it claims this thing is stealth, and it isnt. Some anti-stealth games run but the majority dont. One example is DDR2. I am betting that the games actually check for the bootcode AGAIN, because my legit copy of Legend of Dragoon runs but my legit copy of DDR2(an import) and any backups dont. When I was borrowing my cousin's psx, which has a normal modchip, I was able to use a GS code to get past the anti-mod junk. But the code dosent seem to work in the modcart. An I supposed to put the code in a special way? I have heard of some people adding a line like C1000000 or something or putting the codes in different orders. Anybody got any ideas? I have not been able to find a SINGLE patch for any of the anti-mod games I have, except for one. And it didnt work, it was for DDR club1. Without the patch it says something about me needing to use it with DDR2. With the patch, strangely, I get the "this system is modded" screen. I tried booting to DDR3 (which supports the addon cds) but I cannot figure out how to exchange cds using a modcart, anybody know how? B.T.W. Yes I am sure the DDR Club 1 I have was originally unpatched.

There's a variety of different gameshark type devices out there and some have a differing code so they won't cross over to other devices.
I see there are import DDR 2nd mix, DDR 2nd mix club Vol. 1, and DDR 2nd mix club Vol. 2, so finding the right code ccould be a problem. DDR 2nd Mix: D00200A6 1040 800200A6 1000 D0020D64 FFF2 80020D64 0001 D01C1BE4 FFF2 801C1BE4 0001 D01C1C7A 0C07 801C1C7A 3002 D01C2936 1040 801C2936 1000 DDR 2nd Vol. 1 - no unlock code found DDR 2nd Vol. 2: D01C2F32 1040 801C2F32 1000 D01C2AA8 0CB6 801C2AA8 0ACB D01C1B94 0725 801C1B94 0701 D01C1C60 077B 801C1C60 0720 These codes are designed for a device that uses the caetla format code, which is different then the Gameshark coding. |
