try this

i just tried to make a back up off metal gear solid 2 and it was 6gb big how would you get that on a disc "lol"

You can't. Accually, you can't even back this up to multiple discs and have it play off them. The fact is that you can only play this game off the xbox HDD (unless it's the original). You just happened to choose the hardest game to backup.

But onimushu can be downsized. MGS2 can't. Out of curiosity, how big is onimushu?

it is 4.63gb and that is compressed if there is any other please help because it still will not burn

4.63? I have dvd-rw's that are 4.7gb. So, if you want to back it up, you can probably find some dvd's slightly larger than the standard 4.5gb ones. I dunno the price of them, as I got mine for X-mas.

thats odd. Is it the game that is 4.63, or the iso file of the game?

that iso or just data but when i go to burn with recordmax now it says that it is 4.474.89mb and will not burn

Well, the only thing I can think is wrong is that your burner doesn't support the disk your burning to. If is is 4.474 and your dvd is 4.7, then it should have burned. If there is an option that says "burn anyway" or something like that, choose yes because it should be able to fit.

I think that the 4.7 is the commercial size of the disk. The actual size is only like 4.3 GB.
