dude
you are rite it's the lan/broadband port on the back of your x box you use to connect. you connect the xbox with a standard lan cablem to a hub/ router then to your pc. i however can connect my xbox lan port directley to my pc lan card witn a standard network cable and it works for me. you run evox from your xbox this will give your ip number. you run a ftp programme from your pc i use flashfxp. once you have your ip etc you type it in to the ftp connect box sort of like a phone number and if every thing is connected properley you will see the contents of your xbox hard dics and dvd drive. there are many many posts on this forum dealing with this subject in great detail that should help you out later dude |

if you run evoX, you can set the ip to whatever you want, As ofwhere to get, I can't post that information.
