Probs Using some backups with No Solder Mod

Hi, I'm a newbie here ..

Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction...

I recently opted for a no solder modchip (the one that fools the eject button..) cos, i was advised (probably ill advised).. that modchips shorten your PS2's lifespan..

Anyhoo.. I am using only silver CD-R's (regardless of whether original is DVD rom).. And yes.. All of my originals work fine, i just dont want them scratched (by my son!)

I'm using the AR2 swap disk method (select no codes, hold eject , swap disk, close automatically and then press X).. but im having difficulty with 2 games in particular..

Medal Of Honour AA and Spyro2 : enter the dragonfly..

MOH reverts me back to the main PS2 screen asking for a PS format disk (red screen)
And Spyro Says disk has no data on it... However.. they work fine with a friends machine (i think he's got a Neo mod chip..)

I've tried using the DVD original swap too but that just freezes on the press x to continue screen and updating codes screen , depending on which i choose .. codes on/off.

Am i doing something wrong here?? or are there games which are not compatible with the AR2/no solder mod chip method??

sorry its a longy but i thought id try and give as much info as poss..

I would be eternally gratefull to anyone who can help!

Thanks

Warlock is 100% spot on.

The no solder mod is only useful if you're backups are gonna be straight 1:1's. Ie if its a dvd game, then on dvdr.

It is limited (whether using swap magic 2 discs or gameshark/actionreplay 2) to toc of cdr games.

Anything over 640meg is simply not gonna boot.
