Buying an XBOX?

Hi just got a dvdr for xmas and I was thinning of getting an xbox. I have been reading and got confused.
Do I need a Modchip?

yes you do need a mod chip to run any non official software on a xbox including backedup games

Yes just like dude said, you need a modchip for any thing unofficial, and you will need it even to make backups.
