Thanks so much. I have been looking for quite some time and can't find the answer. I have a PS2 and a few games. I installed the Magic 3.5 chip yesterday. I need to know what brand/DVD-R/WR or whatever I need to start backing up my games. I see where some people use the Pioneer A04 drive. Is there a better software to use also like CloneCD/CDWIN or another one?
Thanks for taking the time to help out. I will try to return the jesture. Will |

Yes, the Pioneer are great drives. For cd based games use CloneCD. For dvd based games RecordNow Max and PrimoDvd are best. Nero also works but it can have some problems.

Thanks Bighap
Thanks Bighap, I will get the A04 Pioneer DVD-r drive(Unless there is a better Pioneer drive out. Is there?). I will also get the CloneCD. Thanks for your time.

Actually there is a better drive now. They have an A05 now. It can record to dvd-r/rw at 4x where as the A04 could only do 2x. You can save some money by going with the A04. Its up to you. 4x media is still sparse and expensive.
