Dungeon Siege -simple copy

ive just tried to simply copy dungeon siege by copying the files from the cd to the hd, then burning them to a new blank cd... then when i try to install it, it says 'incorrect medium (or something like that) detected', after that it still installs, but it installs a corrupt main exe... hopefully someone can help

Yes, it is protected with SafeDiscLT (only Setup is protected).
You can make a 1:1 clone-copy with the normal SafeDisc1 settings in CloneCD !!!

SafeDiscLT works only how SafeDisc1. That means there are the same bad sectors on disc. The file structure is another. So there are no ICD file...

NO!
Dungeon Siege is not protected with Safedisc it's protected by cd-check. the setup is not protected with any thing.
If u have trouble to with a burning cd. You must think of this. Have I label the cd:s (are 2 cd:s) at the same name that's original:s?
It's all files correct or it's somefiles corrupt? (Use a program with namen cd-check to look and correct corrupts files).
And next time. Do an image of the cd not copy the cd on the disc!!!!!

That's should solve all you'r problem.

And use 700MB discs not 650mb disc.

Which language version of Dungeon Siege you have ?

I know it 100% the Setup of the german and the english version of Dungeon Siege is protected with SafeDiscLT.

I'm using the English!
I've have copy the game severial times. Becouse I have a problem that it could'nt read from the source disc.
Than later I find out that my cd-burner was realy crapy..
so I have lot's of disc that I don't need .
To your question. I have copy to ways. Dump to my harddrive and simpley use Blindwrite. Yes blindwrite can read in Safedisc protected cd:s but. If that do so it's says that cd have bad sectors. But the Dungeon Siege don't have bad sectors. And I have'nt have any problems with the setup files.
Only problem I've have is that my cd-burner/driver culd'nt read from some sectors becouase the CD-driver was hhm broken or somthing. My other cd-driver could read it from there and no problemas. So I don't think the setup file is protected.
And if you read at http://spacetarget.com/gcw/games/pc_dungeon_siege.shtml you'll can se that no Safedisc are reported as an protection of the game.

Okaj.... I know what to do.. I should test if My setup.exe files or some files are infected with Safedisc.
My version is English.
So I write later when I have test it.
What I know about is that setup.exe file is not protected with safedisc.
If it is. Just download an unwarper that's should crack the setup files.
But I write again later if the setup file or somefile has safedisc protection.
