UT2003 - Disc 2 CRC during install

it was not my aim to make a 1:1 copy... could'nt be bothered stuffing around so i just did clonecd images without worrying about twinpeaks and all that...
anyway disc 2 gives a CRC error during install, have tried on different computers and i ripped the image and re-burnt a second time but still the same thing, any1 else experience this or know whats going on?

of course the image works fine in daemon tools

Lite-on 32123S
Clonecd 4.0.1.something
defaults that worked for anything else so far

disc1 installed fine, won't play but thats not what i care about i just want the backup to install, i crack for convenience anyway
any help would be appreciated
WuZ.

i haven't tried to 1:1 copy this game, nor have i read up on how to do so, but i'd say ur 1:1 attempt didnt work... read many topics about 1:1ing ut2k3.
or u burnt it too fast, and corrupted the cabs

Copy each cd to a seperate temp directory on hard drive, copy crack to 1 of the temp directorys (first or last?), burn back to cdr with the same cd label.

then u must try it again (the same way, copying files to hd, then burning them to the cdr), but on a slower speed eg. 4x (no faster)

Lets face facts, UT2003 is a bastard to copy, crack or play. Stick to pong. half the time I can't even get UT2003 to install from the original CD's (or it takes an hour) - praise be to sony's new secureRom.

On the same subject - why can't hitman2 v1.01 be cracked, it's driving me crazy.

I successfully backed up UT2003 using the temp directory method. Backups install fine.

Hitman 2 is whole different kettle of fish (a much harder to crack SecurROM) to UT2003.

hey..

as far as i know the data on UT2003 cd2 is written in a different way..

u need to copy it (or burn from the HD) using 'burn entire cd' or something similar.. i remember i had a similar prob and that's the way i managed to get over it...

You mean Disc-At-Once??
That made no difference to my backup as I used Track-At-Once Thats what my Nero defualts to. I remember reading when a certain 'image' got released that it had to be burnt in DAO mode.
