DVD 2 (smaller) DVD-r

there are alot of us out there who only have the no solder chip this means we need an original with a large TOC (most of us don't have devil may cry demo). Games like Timespliters 2 are just to big.

i was wondering if there is a way to rip a dvd game to a smaller dvd .
has anybody heard of a way to do this

Go to www.easybuy.com and buy the Magic Swap discs $20. They allow the booting of cdr (very easily) and DVD-R (no TOC swap needed) with a single swap. It kicks butt.

Keep your old Gameshark if you plan on booting dvd-rips. Thats the only thing these discs will not boot. But I hear that something is on the way for that too.

And yes it works for your particular chip, that is confirmed!

You could use the SWAP MAGIC 2 disks with your no solder mod.
It works just like the AR2/GS disc to boot up your ps2 then you do
the swap with your dvd backup.
The SWAP MAGIC BOOT DISC supplies the toc in this case.
I have a ps2 v5 pal console with a no solder mod and i use this method so it definately works.
However Hitman 2 and Pro Evo Soccer 2 dvd backups would not boot for some reason and they have a smaller toc than the SWAP MAGIC dvd disc which is strange because all my other dvd backups copied on the same pc with the same drive onto the same media with the same program do work???
To get these 2 games to boot i had to use AR2 v2 with the Dave Mirra double too many codes double swap method using D.M.C
original for the toc.
Incidentally the word is SWAP MAGIC 3 is soon to hit the streets.

Here's where i got mine in the UK and excellent service.
Ordered on the Sunday, acknowleged order and payment received by email from them on the same day.
Arrived by standard post on Tuesday.

just a warning thers a list about with about 6 games on it
pro evo 2
hitman2
are two i remember
all wont boot with magig disks all games that dont boot are new games

this could mean future games will not boot either

theres no denying it u just cant beat a top notch chip

here couple more games that dont work either

DUST,
is right the list of games that won't boot with with swap magic is growing allthough many new games will.

I only went for this option because i have a messiah in a v4 ps2
and the no solder/swap magic was a cheap option just to get the other ps2 up and running since i allready had a copy of AR2 v2 with dongle as well.

Swap magic will not boot any dvd ripped games at all.

Wether the swap magic 3 will solve this ?????
It's supposed to be released soon.
