NOLF 2 backup sound problem

Hello

I backed up No one lives forever 2, installed it, I updated to version 1.1 applied Fixed Exe, both of them and even changed my operating system from Win ME to Win 98 but still I have lost, not all but some of the sound. Has anybody had the same problem if so how do I fix it.

I get Music and some dialog but most sound effects don't work.
I have a Hercules Gamesurround XL card.

Please please Help!!!!
