ps2 backups

I'm having probs with ps2 games which have to go onto 80+min cdr
I have the neo2.2 fitted and use AR2 boot disk.
I can run any game which is on 74min cd but stuff on larger cdrs will not run. Has anyone got any ideas please.

A neo2.2 shouldnt have any issues with dvd rips, You sure you dont have a no solder mod??
