DIABLO2 have serial do not have cd

Since my thread was most ungraciously closed by one "VLuka Topic closer and deleter" I shall re-post with clarification and simplification for the more simple minded among us.
I have copies (not sure what I used to make copies, that's right VLuka I have more then one burning utility installed on this fine fine computing machine) of all D2 discs including LOD; Install went fine. When I try to play D2 or install LOD it asks for play disc but will not recognize my copy "please insert play disc".
FURTHERMORE searching your archives only leads to cracks that involve copying D2MUSIC.MPQ THIS FILE IS CORRUPT. I CAN NOT COPY IT.
I thought maybe I could somehow convince my computer that my friend's cdrom (far away) is a local drive. Any ideas?

PS: in the future I would appreciate a little more courtesy on the part of those that control the forums. Could I probably find an answer by research alone? Yes. Have I looked at length already? Yes. One could probably deduce this from the fact that I have made now 2 posts.

"Make another copy. How? Read the FAQ."

Gee thanks tips. I never would have thought to make another copy. If you're not going to help then could you at least go back to closing my topics instead of berating me.

if you've got a corrupt file on your copy that's not going to be fixed my making a copy of the copy.

I my opinion your only way out is to buy another copy or contact Blizzard who'll send out new ones for a charge.

How can I make this more clear? do you want a freaking bio? The original disc is fine, perfect, pristine. My copy suxor, and I can't readily make another. "i cannot copy the file" refers to taking D2MUSIC.MPQ from the copy to my hard drive. Is there a solution? YES Why you guys keep asking me stupid questions? I dont know.
I experimented briefly with turning the cdrom containing the original cd (on another computer) into a network drive on my computer, then using 0cd to emulate a cdrom with that drive as it's contents. However, I haven't used 0cd in god knows how many years and I can't seem to get it to work well. If someone thinks this will do the trick I'll keep trying. But for the love of god quit pestering me if you can't help.

This is the last time I will be posting here as it obviously does no good.

Mmmmm..... so what's the problem anyway ? You've got a bad copy ? Copy the D2MUSIC.MPQ from your original disc. You know, the one that you claim in your first message here is 'fine, perfect, pristine'. Why can't you just do this ? Is your cdrom drive broken or something ? Or don't you HAVE the original anymore ? In that case, read this.

I'm sorry, but after carefully reading this thread and your previous one, it becomes clear that NOBODY has been giving you bad advice. It just seems that YOU can't explain your own problem, or even worse, YOU seem to have great problems with even the basics of a pc. You made a mystery here, since nobody here knows what exactly is your problem. A mystery that alas, will probably stay unsolved. Do continue posting on this board though, we humble lusers wouldn't want to miss the valuable insights of 'the only one with any intelligence around here', as you seem to think.

hang on a sec...
at no point in time did u state that u still had the original D2 discs!!!

how come u can't make another backup of the discs considering u made a backup of them in the first place?

You should explain yourself fully before crictising our attempts to assist.

This board is like a visit back to highschool.

I can clearly see what he's saying. And his answer has been given: Get another non-corrupt copy. There is no other way.
