Mafia: How to install & play (EASY)
It's very easy to install & play Mafia. This method worked for me:
First I made a folder on my C-drive called MAFIA. Then I copied the contents of all 3 CDs to that folder, overwriting files when the computer asked me to. Next I went to the homepage of MEGAGAMES (w*w.megagames.com) and downloaded the nocd patch from GimpsRus. I unpacked the file GAME.EXE to C:\Mafia\MafiaGame\ overwriting the original GAME.EXE file. Then I made a shortcut to GAME.EXE (in the MafiaGame folder) on my desktop. I doubleclicked the shortcut and VOILA !!!!! Somehow the game works perfectly without even installing it. The only thing install does, is copying the folder MafiaGame from the 3 CDs to your C-drive. I hope this solution works for all of you !!!!! It's a KICKASS game !!!!!

can u not just install the 3discs then put in the fixed .exe?
i think it will make the game run faster  faz

Hiya peterfriis, just wanted to post the same thing to the forum...
 Yeah, no need to fool around with installation, just copy the CD contents into a directory and get a no-CD patch...However, be warned, the gimpsRus no-CD patch contains some modifications (when compared to the unwrapped executable by Fairlight) whose reasons I couldn't find out! These _may_ cause the game to lock up or behave erratically. I suggest that you use one of the other two no-CD patches: Fl@sh or BH/Evo (these are also based on the Fairlight unprotected executable).
