Need help with FF7 (YES FF7!) pls :[

Hiya out there

i m a FF7 addict and i wanted to play it again on my PC with Windows XP. I got an older rip version of it (175.14 MB) where no movies and no sound is there but since its not sold here around anymore thats ok for me. The problem is Windows XP
Luckily Eidos brought out a patch for XP users which fixed the crashes. I thought hurray !

But wait... i can t patch it....
it says FF7 not installed on this machine.... *grmbl*
so i tried reconfiguring the regedit in case the patch just needs the correct paths. But nope it seems to need more than that.

So my 2 questions for ye out there are:

1) What does the patch need? I mean what is he seeking? a correct ff7.exe maybe? or really just the regedit and i messed it up?

2) You know any cracked patch ? the 1.3 xp patch for ff 7 that is.
Or maybe got any ftp or http where i could dl the full game with movies/sound. Maybe its also cause of the rip which i really doubt since it crashes/freezes at many places in the game.

But anyways ANY help whatsoever is highly appreciated. But pls don t post links to those searchengines i can t see em anymore since thats what i tried the past 12 hours :/
