dvd-rw media

I tried a TDK dvd-rw today and got a dics read error from my ps2, I have tried Verbatim dvd-rw's in the past and they have worked.

is it just the media?
I would of thought tdk would be pretty good
anyone else tried it?

-RW's are questionable..Sometimes they work and other times it might not..I'm sure you know that, anyway DVD-R seems to be the best period.
