You should have an "NFO" file with your patch. It's a text file explaining what you have to do :

- --- Release Notes ------------------------------------------------>

Files included in the zip: 1ST_READ.BIN, audio.raw, cygwin1.dll (needed for mkisofs),
IP.BIN, IPINS.EXE, mkisofs.exe.

IMPORTANT: The files are pre-hacked to sector 11700 so if you use a recording software other than
CDRWIN you'll need to hack 1ST_READ.BIN on your own, refer to our Selfboot Kit for help
(and create the DATA.ISO with your own offset).

(If you use other directoy names please change them accordingly)

1. Grab your previous burned TXR2 US CD and copy its contents to C:\TXR2\DATA\
(using Explorer or whatever filemanager you like)
2 Overwrite C:\TXR2\DATA\1ST_READ.BIN with the new one
3. Create the data ISO: MKISOFS.EXE -C 0,11700 -V TXR2_ECH -l -o C:\TXR2\DATA.ISO C:\TXR2\DATA
This will create C:\TXR2\DATA.ISO from the files in C:\TXR2\DATA\
4. Inject the bootsector: IPINS.EXE (it will ask you for the supplied IP.BIN and DATA.ISO)
5. Launch CDRWIN, goto "Record Disc", check "Open New Session", click "Load Tracks..."
click "Add...", select "All Files" in the file type and choose AUDIO.RAW as the track
file. Click "OK" and once CDRWIN is done compiling the cuesheet, click "Start Recording".
6. In CDRWIN's main menu again, goto "File Backup and Tools", select "Record an ISO9660 Image File"
on top, choose DATA.ISO as the "Image Filename", set "Disc Type" to "CDROM-XA", set
"Track Mode" to "MODE2", check "Finalize" and "Write Postgap", uncheck "Open New Session".
Click "Start".
7. Enjoy your fixed TXR2!

TRIED IT...DiDN"T WORK...PLZ HELP!!!

OK. I'm not that fond about burning DC backups and stuff but i do know how to follow directions and read! Therefore i did as wat the .nfo file said to do, step by step, and i burned the game using a MITSUMI CD RECORDER and using CDRWIN v. 4.0a, w/ 80 minute memorex CD's. I put the CD in the DC and all i get in a CD floating around and almost like if its trying to play an audio CD. I really need some help, maybe i messed up w/ the directions...if SOME ONE COULD PLZ! post or email me some more specific step by step directions to add the SAVE GAME BUG FIX patch to the game...(i just dragged the icon data from the CD to get it into my comp...is that good? or bad?)

HELP WOULD BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!

Ok, let's go (with another method)...

1) put your "original" CD in your CD reader
2) using windows explorer, make a directory called "C:\TXR2\DATA"
3) still using windows explorer, copy all files AND directories from your CD to "C:\TXR2"
4) open the patch file using Winzip (simple double-click on the .zip file)
5) extract 1st_read.bin to "C:\TXR2" (overwrite the old one)
6) run CDRWin, choose "file backup and tools" (4th icon)
7) in the "Backup/Tool Operation"dropdown menu, choose "Build an ISO9660 Image file"
8) click "add" and select "C:\TXR2"
9) in "9660 image file", enter "c:\image.iso"
10) uncheck "preserve full pathname" + "include archive files only", check "include hidden file" + "recurse subdirectories" + "include system files" + "Check directory depth"
11) click "Start"
12) close CDRWin
13) run Bin2Boot Gui (http://www.megagames.com/console/cgi...ile=b2b_gui01b!rar)
14) select "C:\image.iso"
15) burn the cdi image you get with DiscJuggler

This should work.

There should be an ip.bin in the patch package.
I forgot to tell you to unzip it in your "TXR2" directory (step 5 bis).
Don't change DJ's settings : it should use your image's settings.
