Tdk Dvd-r

I have been using verbatim dvd-r with pioneer a04, nero, getting good backups. (primo playing up at mo though)

However, I am buying my verbatims from Sydney via net, and pay a carraige charge on them, my local store sells tdk dvd-r,
my question is are they any good for ps2 backups on a pioneer a04?
