Back up CD
Hi,
Im new to this forum and have my first question. I bought a copy of Morrowind a month and a half ago, I lent it to my buddy and he brought it back in terrible condition ie scratches and scuffs. I'm trying to make a back up copy of this CD because I don't think it would take much to ruin it and I'm not paying another 80 bucks, However I'm not having any luck at copying it, Ive tried CDCLONE and it copys it but it doesnt work. Can anyone help me and give me some instructions on how to do this. Much appreciated pitbull [email protected]

First, you can use the SEARCH feature of this forum and many, if not all, your questions will be answered.
Second, unless you give us some specs on your system, mainly, more info on your burner, we can't help you much. However, you will probably want to get (if you already don't have it) a protection scanner (Clony is a good choice) and a good burning software program (CloneCD, BlindWrite, CDMate, etc are good choices). Third, if you can't produce a 1:1 copy of it, have your buddy pay for it. Good luck.

12X what?
Morrowind is protected with SafeDisc 2 and CD Checks. According to the CloneCD Web Site the 12101B and 1240B may not do too good a job, mainly due to incorrect EFM encoding. Your mileage may vary though, depending on which burning software you use, etc. If, you have 12102B, then you're good. Good luck.
