Howdy
I´m looking for a way to copy the psx music digitally to my minidisc recorder. I can`t use the opto out of the ps2 with my md recorder because of the copy protection. If I use an emulator to play the games/music and copy them to my md rec I got a music quality that really sucks. Is there a music tool that allows me to play the sound files from a psx game? I just tried the psmplay. but i just can`t get the music from tony hawk`s pro skater 2. i have no idea in which format the music is saved! actually in none format psmplay can read. so if anyone knows how to exctract music (esp. Tony Hawk 2 !!!!!) ........... ...............help me please !!!! Thanks cu Durd aka Menace Last edited by Durd; 07-07-2002 at 09:21. |

Yes it is possible...
Its a long time since i have played around with these things but you need to convert the PSX audio into WAVE format before recording to mini disc. Have a hunt for PSXPLAY or XA2WAVE Have fun.

I simply capture with my computer, I connect the Playstation/N64/Saturn line out to the line in on my graphics card and the capture using Polderbits sound recorder. Sometimes you have to keep the character occupied so he'll stand somewhat still as to not make noise while the music plays but it's possible.
www.polderbits.com You should then be able to reverse the process to your MD recorder. |
