some is telling me that you need a dvd burner to burn ps2 games is this true if it is how much can i get one for?

dvd-burner for dvd-based games,
cd burner for cd-based games

i just did its like 379$.

tell me is it all worth it to buy a new cd burner and a messiah mod chip that cost 89$ then you have to get dvd-r cds that cost around 30$. is it all worth it?

Yes - many of us have done just that and have never looked back. I've had ny A03 since November and the Messiah since January. Brilliant.

If you look on E-bay you can find the Pioneer A03 or the A04 for around $300.00. Also you can buy 100 Princo DVD-R's for $138.00. So to answer "Is it worth it?" YES, it is........

Check on e-bay... You can buy NEW ones for about 300.00. New in RETAIL box.......

Finally the prices are coming down....YEAH
