Bridge Commander

I was trying to make a copy of Bridge Commander today, the copy protection listed is CD Checks, so my understanding of this is that I can just burn it straight to a blank correct?

I have tried to burn it twice, once with CloneCD and once with Nero yet It stops burning halfway through each time. Is there something that I am missing here?

I am copying from my Pioneer 16x DVD to my Plextor 24x10x40a with the 1.04 firmware.

Thanks for any help

The burn stopping has nothing to do with the protection. What error messege do you receive? Do not burn 'on the fly'. Read the image on HD, then burn the image, burn at slower speeds if you media isn't certified to burn at 24X.

It burned succesfully at 12x...

Why shouldn't I burn on the fly? I thought with BurnProof you could and would have no problems?

On the fly lacks reliabilty due to all the stops and starts - it just is not good as errors occur where they shouldn't as the drive tries to keep up. And it is especially bad if you are trying to copy a copy protected game because of all the errors, subchannel data to be read etc.

if you want to copy a protected cd you should never copy on the fly....if you want to make a working copy...
