Plextor questions

A list said that Plextor px-w121032 IDE and Plextor px-w12432 SCSI CD-RW drives are the best drives available.
I think that list is old because when I search shops I am told that px-w121032A is SCSI drive.
Also Mitsumi cr4804TE was good but IŽll get only cr480ATE.

Could someone tell me what are correct drivenames and is there better drives available?
