Moderators, please read! European Air War Infogrames (2001) re-release copy info

Hi all....

I know that this is an old game now, but infogrames re-released it in 2001. I purchased it a month ago and have been trying to figure out how to make a backup copy for my own use. Gamecopyworld's section on this game contains copy advice that pertains to the older safedisc copy protection that was on the original release. However, the new release of the game doesn't have any safedisc (original or v.2) protection at all.

I did a few scans on the cd to see if there was any other copy protection. None was identified, but I had some difficulty burning a copy using the instructions for Nero listed at Gamecopyworld--I ended up burning a coaster. Not sure if this was my own fault, but it sure didn't work! Maybe someone else can get it to work, tho'.

I then used CloneCD 4.0 and first created an image file (including subchannel data), then burned the image file to an 80 min. cd-r at max speed (I have a Yamaha IDE Internal 8824 burner). Guess what...it worked like a charm! No probs, no need for a patch!

Again I know this is old, but the modding community out there is really keeping this game alive...so if someone can please use this info and update the European Air War Section at Gamecopyworld to account for this easily-copyable Infogrames re-release of the game! Thanks....
