Talking Charlie! Charlie!

This is why I mentioned that I’m new to this stuff!
My PS2 is made in Japan. Its Model is SCPH-30004 (PAL)

Now here in Saudi Arabia, illegal Hardware experts simply open the original PS2 and connect a cable (soldering). And then it’s the S-Box. S-Box is a little thing that stays in the USB Port No. 1 and has an on/off switch. All I have to do is turn on the machine & use AR2V2 (or older and newer). I have to make sure SBox is in and turned on. Now simply start without codes (or with codes, if I want to) and replace the AR2 disk with the game I want to play. This game is burned on a normal CD not DVD. My PS2 cannot play Illegal cheap DVD games. It can only play games burned on normal CD 650MB or 700MB. These games are also NTSC not PAL. When they connect the cable, the PS2 starts understanding NTSC format and SBox further improves this and also allow backed up CDs to be played. But my AR2 is PAL because my machine is basically PAL.

Well, the above info should be useless enough. OKAY!

Now, charlie_ps2 replied me this:
“A backup of AR2 is unlikely to be of use to you. How would you boot it?”

Okay, so you CAN Back-Up CDs but you need something else to boot them! Right??

(geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzz!!!!!!!!)

Is there any way that I can back up my AR2V2 because, err… (Coughs)… (Coughs), my friend and I purchased the damn PS2 by 50-50 money, we’ve received AR2 v1 not v2. It’s just too slow!!! Now I have seen AR2V2 in action and I also know AR2 V2.03 is also available. (It’s only a CD that supports both v1 and v2 Cartridges). My plan was simple; if you would have given a good answer then my next attempt was to ask an ISO of AR2V2 v2.03 PS2 Boot Disk. Simple and yet a magnificent plan but I think it’s all ruined!!!

Leave the plan for now but at least there must be some way to copy Disk 1 of AR2V2 so the instead of spending 250 Riyals (Divide this by 3.75 to get $) I could simply copy the disk 1 only. I already have AR2 v1 Cartridge and it’s compatible. I also have a source for the disk only for 3 or 4 days!!

Please Oh please reply to meeeee!!!!

I'm here; I'm here!

No. you cannot make a copy of AR2/v2 that will boot except with a Messiah chip (and then it would be pointless except perhaps to play Region 1 DVD movies).

The PS2 MUST boot with an original disk. Indeed you can boot a backup of AR2 behind an original of Ar2. But you cannot boot the backup on its own.

I thought you were all rich in Saudi Arabia.
