Read PSX CD at 10x w/ burner, or 4x w/ standard reader.......

I've got an Asus 52x CD drive, and a Yamaha 3200EZ CDRW in my comp. The Asus goes down to 4x for reading speed, and the Yamaha goes down to 10x read speed. I've heard that it's best to use the burner to read the CDs because it reads them better for some reason, and I am also aware that the lower the speed, the more accurate the reading will be. Which one should I use to read the CD with?
