How to play Shenmue 2 PAL to VGA?

I have a PAL european version of Shenmue 2 and i want to play it on my pc monitor. i have a gameshark and a pelican VGA adapter and i have tried booting the game through it but it only gives blank screen on my monitor. i also tried using utopia boot v 1.2 and it did not work as well.

When i boot Capcom vs SNK JAP NTSC using gameshark, it works on VGA.

my question is how can i play my PAL Shenmue 2 on my pc monitor, i have tried using gameshark, and utopia v1.2 and it only give blank screen and no sound.

thanks in advance

I'm not sure, but you should check in your ip.bin if "VGA box supported" is checked. Use ipbin4win to edit ip.bin.

It's also possible that some titles just won't work with the VGA cable.

Found on another forum :

"Yes it is possible to play your import Shenmue 2 on a VGA monitor. Shenmue 2 outputs a VGA signal just fine, but you need to get a boot disk that will do the same. Some boot disks wont work with the VGA adapter, so your best bet would be to try out some of the other devices that will allow you to boot import games, like the GameShark CDX. "

So I suppose it should work with GameShark...
