easy cd creator 5/windows 200

I have windows 2000 and have installed easy cd creator 5. Direct CD stated that I had no supported drive. The CD-R/RW that I have installed is supported by the software, however, I cannot figure out how to make it recognize my drive. I have installed the latest patch and that did not resolve the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
