scsi or atapi?
hi everyone
i already have a scsi sony cdu-948 s but i want a new faster cd-writer do you think i'll buy an atapi (plextor 24*10*40) or another scsi model (i dont know which one) i want to backup my cd and use clonecd nero cdrwin Br-Bw...... my money is 200$ max ![]() bye and thx in advance |

On a technical note only:
If you have SCSI try and stick with it as it's not a channel that will contend with your exiting IDE devices. It's not terribly important because burners now have BurnProof to defeat buffer underruns. However one word of caution if you are sticking with SCSI: There are no fully compatible SCSI burners for CloneCD that support EFM (necessary for copying and burning Safedisk 2 CDs). |
