CD-R to DVD
Is it possible to use a CD-RW drive to write a DVD-RW. If not why, Is it because of the media I/E the disc's or is it because of the laser,The reason i ask is because i have been told that there is software out there that will let you do just this, or is this possibly a scam?????????.

different colored laser i e different wavelength. um, more precise, apparently, as it can handle much closer layers. what else........um, its probably garbage, or a vcd thing

vcds and dvd's
It is the overall formate, like 1.4 mb floppy and a 700 mb cd. or the 500 kb floppies ( if you remember those, now I am showing my age!) It is a formate thing,
But you can coverte a dvd to vcd. You need a dvd rom and a cd burner, Copy software that can make a vcd. There are a lot of guides out there that can help, here are a few, try the thrid one first. http://www.bxbweb.com http://www.divx-digest.com http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdtovcd.htm
