Question Burning w/ClonedCD v.3.3.4.1

Ok I just downloaded CloneCD the other night tried to use it & kepted getting fail to read sector XXX. A friend said that there are certain setting that need to be set but he couldn't tell me which ones. So how do I get it to burn a CD that has copy protection on it? Thx.

Download Clony XXL to get the settings.

The game you are trying to copy is probably using Safedisk 2. You should tick Fast Error Skip - read errors are normal between sectors 800-10000.

Thx gh0sth@cker I did download Cloney will give it a try tonight. How do I use Cloney is it fairly self explanitory & easy?*LOL*

I wasn't all that impressed with the user interface of CloneCD, like EZ CD & Nero better in that aspect. Have never had any probs burning anything till just this last CD I got that I would liek to burn EZ CD always worked fine as well as Nero.

Also what exacally does Cloney do anyway?

Also as far as burning games or other data discs or whatever does it matter what speed you burn at? Is it better to burn at slower speeds or does it not really matter? Thx.

Get rid of Easy CD Cremator - it's useless and won't copy your games 1:1. Clone CD is the program to use.

Clony scans the cd and tells you what protection is being used along with what settings to use in Clone CD.

Ok, well I am not going to get rid of EZ CD b/c I like it and as I said up until now I have never had any probs burning CD's with it but from now on I will use CloneCD & Cloney to burn certain types of CD's & EZ CD for music or backing up my HD Files. Thx for the help.

So how easy are both CloneCD & Cloney to use? B/c I tried CloneCD last night w/out cloney didn't have it yet. Anyhow didn't seem to user friendly & the interface is a little lame looking but maybe I am just spoiled with Nero & EZ CD 5.*LOL*

Download Clone CD 4 This interface is even easier than the previous.
Clone CD prides itself on it's easy layout - don't let the simple layout fool you into thinking it's a simple program.

gh0sth@cker well I tried CloneCD 4 30 Beta & Cloney & could not get it to burn tried to create an image & it would just sit there spining doing nothing. One time it actually did create the image but when I tried to burn it got to like 36% & just stop with a msg saying somethig to the effect of unable to burn 96 bytes or something. So maybe my burner is not compatable?

Anyone have any Ideas?
