help backup problem

i am trying to make a backup of f22 lighting 3 i installed nero and odne exactly what it said and it didnt copy is there anyway i can play the game without the cd if i copy the files to my harddrive then copy it from there? would it work? i really need to make a backup of it soon cause im having bad problems allready with my cd rom reading it cause its badly scratched if i cant do this above anything else i can do to make a backup?
