Plextor W1610A lockup - disabled after a burn

My Plextor W1610A will lock up or actually be totally disabled after a
burn with either Nero or the Plextor Manager 2000 itself. After a
succesful burn Win2k will complain about the drive being removed
before it was disabled.

The only way to get it back is to POWER off the machine.

Any ideas ?? I have the latest firmware and Plextor manager 2000
installed with Win2k SP2.
